A uniquely Tasmanian business, we were established in 1956 by Milan, a pioneering Czech refugee with a vision to marry traditional European cheese making with the unspoilt purity of Tasmania, his adopted home.

Milan explored Europe and hand selected Swiss cheese makers to bring their craft to a new and evolving audience, thus giving birth to Tasmanian Heritage - an Australian expression of traditional award winning cheese.

Today we continue to make a significant contribution to our evolving food culture, using only the finest quality milk provided from the pristine environment of Tasmania.
