The crispy citrus or grassy characters of Sauvignon Blanc are needed to cut through the richness of the cheese. The highly fragrant fruit of the wine and creaminess of the cheese create a perfect partnership.
Sweeter style wines such as a Sparkling Rosè best complement the flavours of this cheese. The bubbles will cleanse the palate while the sweet richness of the red grapes will raise the rich creamy flavours.
The sweet citrus notes of a rich Lager works well as it contrasts the creaminess of the cheese making the mouthfeel more palatable and less rich.
